Make sure you have downloaded LazyDuchess's Smart Age Correct so that everyone automatically gets the correct lifespan when you enter a household. If you want to use the Short or Medium life spans, make sure you use EvelynnMama's 48 hour pregnancy hack, because it's kinda odd to have 3 day pregnancies when your adult life is only 12 days long. The mod only modifies the lifespan of fully playable Sims, not that of pets. The young adult and adult life stages from the Sims 3 have been merged into the TS2 adult stage, so instead of, say, YA 12 days / Adult 12 days, you will get Adult 24 days. My best guess is that they just roll with the human lifespan.
I had to tweak the Plantsim life stages to make them line up with the human lifespan, i'm not sure how it works if you use one of these mods to have child/teen Plantsims. I included a text file in the archive with the exact duration of every life stage. So I decided to port all TS3 lifespans to the Sims 2.

I think we all agree that the Maxis lifespan makes absolutely no sense. You can place it away from the wall by using moveobjects on, and it will still shift! The OMSP can be shifted up and down like a painting. I absolutely loved the idea of pictureamoebae’s OMSP shelf for TS4 and wanted to recreate it :) Introducing a new OMSP for The Sims 3!! In case you don’t know what that means, OMSP stands for ‘One More Slot Please’ and can be used to add lots more decoration to your buiilds.
